Mave Secures $2 Million to Enhance AI Assistant for Real Estate Agents

Funding will accelerate the development of Mave's AI assistant to boost real estate productivity

Canadian tech startup Mave, which specializes in AI-driven solutions for the real estate industry, has secured CAD$2 million in pre-seed funding. The funds will support Mave’s goal of enhancing operational efficiency for real estate agents and brokers. Led by Relay Ventures and N49P, with contributions from Alate Partners, Clarim Ventures, Gambit Partners, and various angel investors, the round was swiftly completed, indicating strong market interest. The funding also marks Mave’s launch of a beta program for its AI assistant, which has already drawn interest from over 6,000 real estate agents across more than 90 brokerages in the Greater Toronto Area.

Mave’s journey began with founder and CEO Raz Zohar’s curiosity about the often-unseen workload real estate agents face. Following his own home purchase, Zohar took on a position as an executive assistant for real estate agents across Toronto to gain firsthand insight into the complexities agents handle daily, including client communication, market analysis, and the administrative duties required to close each transaction. He quickly discovered that most brokerages lack the resources to offer dedicated backend support, leaving agents to handle administrative tasks, from researching properties to managing contracts, without much assistance. With Mave, Zohar envisions a streamlined, AI-powered approach to simplify real estate operations.

Automating the Real Estate Workflow

Mave is an AI assistant designed to tackle many of the repetitive tasks that real estate agents face. Operating in stealth mode for months, Mave has already captured significant attention in the GTA, attracting thousands of agents keen to streamline their day-to-day operations. From this large pool of potential users, Mave has handpicked 1,000 agents to begin using the assistant during its initial beta phase. Agents and brokers interested in joining the program can join a waitlist via Mave’s website.

The Mave AI assistant automates backend tasks such as researching property data, creating social media posts, and drafting presentations and emails. With agents frequently relying on their phones for communication, Mave integrates seamlessly with existing workflows. By simply texting the assistant, agents can request information like price comparisons for specific neighborhoods or advice on the latest market trends, with responses generated instantly. This integration allows Mave to deliver meaningful support without requiring agents to learn a new platform, making it accessible for agents on the go.

According to Mave, an agent typically spends over 35 hours on administrative tasks per transaction. With the new funding, Mave is now positioned to enhance its AI assistant’s capabilities, building it into a virtual, full-time support system. The team has partnered with data providers and real estate boards to supply market insights and property information, empowering agents to respond to client queries immediately and with accuracy.

Scaling Up for Broader Impact

The pre-seed funding supports Mave’s plans to expand its team from ten employees and recruit new talent across engineering, product, marketing, and sales functions. Relay Ventures Managing Partner Alex Baker expressed confidence in Mave’s potential to transform real estate operations by simplifying complex workflows through a straightforward AI-powered solution. “Raz’s vision for Mave harnesses AI to reduce backend workload without disrupting how agents currently work. It’s a solution that requires nothing more than texting, fitting perfectly with agents’ daily routines,” said Baker.

Strong Reception from Industry Early Adopters

One of Mave’s early beta clients is PSR Brokerage, a luxury real estate firm operating throughout Southern Ontario with a specialization in resale and pre-construction sales. Known for its high-end marketing services, PSR Brokerage quickly saw adoption of the Mave AI assistant, with 60 percent of its agents actively using it at least six times per week. The brokerage sees Mave as a competitive advantage, providing agents with ready access to essential information while improving their response time to client inquiries.

“Mave offers our agents the support they need to enhance client interactions and deliver better service,” said Joshua Chisvin, PSR Brokerage’s VP of Resale. “Real estate clients expect detailed, immediate information on thousands of listings. With Mave, our agents can now meet that demand effortlessly.”

The beta program has already produced promising results. One agent reported that Mave’s fast response capabilities helped them secure a listing within a single day by providing accurate property pricing information to their client on demand. Another agent used Mave to execute a social media campaign that ultimately led to a sale well above the asking price. These initial cases highlight Mave’s potential to transform productivity for agents and enable more successful client engagements.

Enhancing Real Estate Operations with AI-Powered Efficiency

The AI assistant offers brokerages the opportunity to improve backend operations and empower agents to focus on client service and business growth. Mave provides a real-time advantage by automating time-intensive tasks that, until now, have been a challenge for brokerages to address without substantial resources. In a market where client expectations are constantly rising, Mave’s technology allows agents to provide the seamless, fast, and knowledgeable service that today’s real estate clients expect.

Looking forward, Mave plans to expand its capabilities beyond the current marketing-focused functions. With the recent funding, the team is committed to building a more comprehensive platform that can assist with everything from coordinating open houses to handling contract finalizations. This ambitious roadmap underscores Mave’s potential to become a full-service AI-driven assistant for real estate, paving the way for higher productivity and enhanced client interactions.

Mave is setting new standards in real estate efficiency with its AI assistant, offering a solution that empowers agents to provide high-quality service while optimizing backend operations. With a streamlined, accessible approach to AI and a strong beta adoption rate, Mave is positioned to reshape real estate operations for agents and brokerages alike.
